LYCON HOT WAXES
There are four hot waxes in this group Rosette Wax, SoYummy Chocolate & Hazelnut Wax, Manifico wax and Azulene Wax. Lycon Hot Waxes are a low temperature formula, they shrink-wrap and remove hair as short as 1mm, they are very pliable and painless for most. |
All Lycon Hot Waxes are the same base formula, with the additions of different aromatherapy ingredients. Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide and colours. For example, Rosette and Manifico (with Titanium Dioxide) and So Yummy (with Iron Oxide) are creamy and more gentle, in fact very soothing and perfect for sensitive areas.
Should there be difficult or stubborn hair growth to remove; all Lycon Hot Waxes can be re-applied on the same area many times without the wax feeling too hot and without skin trauma or irritation. |
LYCON LYCOJET WAXES
There are two Lycojet waxes – Lycojet Lavender and Desert Rose. Apart from being very pliable and painless for most, they are both low temperature waxes and they both shrink-wrap and remove hair as short as 1mm. |
| Lycojet waxes are similar to traditional hot wax; however they are designed to be used much more thinly - one third of the thickness in fact, which makes Lycojet much more economical great for waxing Legs and Arms, as most salons these days do not recycle wax. Should there be difficult or stubborn hair growth to remove, Lycojet can be reapplied on the same area many times without skin trauma or irritation. |
LYCON STRIP WAXES
This group consists of three strip waxes – Rosette Magic Wax, SoYummy chocolate and Hazelnut wax, and Active Gold. Lycon Strip Waxes are used super thinly, they remove short hair, they do not leave a sticky residue and are virtually pain free! |
All Lycon Strip Waxes are the same formula; however they have their own individual colours and aromatherapy ingredients. In addition Active Gold contains gold mica, SoYummy contains bronze mica and Iron Oxide, and Rosette Magic contains soothing Titanium Dioxide. All Lycon Strip waxes can be reapplied on the same are 2 to 3 times should some hair be missed. |
| SO WHICH WAX SHOULD I CHOOSE FOR DIFFERENT AREAS? |

| . LEGS AND ARMS |
- If the hair is long enough, we recommend any Lycon Strip Wax.
- If the hair is short and brittle, we recommend a Lycojet wax, because they can be used much more thinly than traditional hot wax. Lycojet waxes are therefore much more economical on large areas

| . BIKINI LINES AND UNDERARMS |
- We recommend one of our Lycon hot waxes, particularly Rosette, Manifico and So Yummy, as it is the most gentle for sensitive areas.
- Many salons also successfully use Lycon Strip wax for these area, however we prefer the results and the painless waxing that Lycon hot waxes offer on these sensitive areas. Furthermore it is much easier to wax these areas with a hot wax as they leave a much cleaner and neater finish.
- Lycojet waxes can be used on these areas also; however it is difficult to use them thinly, especially if the hairs are thick and long. The skin in these areas is also hotter and becomes hotter still while waxing. If Lycojet is applied too thickly, it takes longer to set and it will not have as good a grip on the hair. It is therefore often preferred to use Lycon hot wax in these areas.

| . EYEBROWS, LIPS AND FACES |
- Any Lycon hot wax or Lycojet can be used on the facial area. We particularly recommend Rosette, Manifico and SoYummy for their extra gentle and soothing properties.
- Lycojet waxes are also very suitable for the face.

| . BACKS, CHESTS AND NECKS |
| Any Lycon hot wax or Lycojet can be used on these areas. |
- Lycon Strip waxes could also be used on these areas, however, they are more painful and secondly they will not remove the hair as well, should it be short. When the back or the chest is being waxed, clients often perspire when the wax is removed. This prevents Strip wax from gripping the hair well; however this does not happen with Lycon hot waxes. Lycon hot waxes are much easier, less painful and efficient in these areas.

Generally speaking, all Lycon waxes can be used on the face and body. Everyone chooses differently depending on the training they have had and personal preferences. The above suggestions are a guideline, feel free to have fun and experiment with Lycon waxes to establish your own personal preference.
Remember, for best results it is important to use the specified Lycon pre and after waxing products: Lycotane, pre-Waxing Oil, Perfect Finish, Tea Tree Perfect, Tea Tree Soothe, Soothing Cream and Wax Solvent as per their individual instructions when waxing.
